The Smith-Emery Metallurgical lab provides quality control through field and laboratory testing, analysis of metal components, and forensic analysis of structural components to detect potential defects or failures, and quality issues in metals. Headed by a California-licensed metallurgical engineer, we perform Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and provide Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPRQ) services. Our testing capabilities help identify the root cause of failures and solve metallurgical challenges so that recommendations can be made to prevent further failures.
