Levi’s Stadium is home to the National Football League’s (NFL) San Francisco 49ers. The schedule for this project was so aggressive that construction was completed concurrently in four quadrants, in 2 daily shifts of work. Smith-Emery’s team of 25 highly qualified, multi-disciplined Special Inspectors performed all required materials testing and special inspection for the stadium, collaborating closely with the contractor, design team, and City to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Since its opening, the Stadium, which seats between 68,500 and 75,000 fans, has been the site of the Pac-12 Football Championship Games, Super Bowl 50, and FIFA World Cup. It’s a multi-use venue for concerts, motocross racing, indoor/outdoor conferences, and other community events.
