Loma Linda Hospital has begun building out its ambitious Vision 2020 plan to upgrade and expand its home campus with a new adult hospital and a major expansion of the children’s hospital facility and Smith-Emery has been assisting on the project since the hospital broke ground in 2016. The adult hospital will ultimately have 320 licensed beds and stand 267 feet tall, the second tallest building in the Inland Empire. Its towers will be mounted on a base isolation system and exceed the State’s strict earthquake regulations. The expanded Children’s Hospital will eventually have 377 licensed beds.
