Westfield Valley Fair Parking Structure
San Jose, California

Description

This state-of-the art structure is a six level, 1.4-million-square-foot parking garage, featuring a digital navigation system to locate open spaces. The garage has a modern façade with vertical metal louver fins and metal panels patterned with laser-cut circles. The interior features LED lights that have both photo and motion sensors, dedicated bicycle parking, charging station, complimentary Wi-Fi, and reserved spaces for parents with young children. And if visitors forget where they parked in this 2,000-space garage, they simply enter their license plate number into a nearby kiosk. For this project, Smith Emery deployed its Intellirock™ concrete sensors and receivers to achieve schedule advances in the post-tension stressing operations.
