Physical & Geotechnical Laboratory Testing
Service Overview
When building a project from the ground up, you’ll need to understand how all of your construction components and structural materials behave under various adverse conditions. Our in-house tests lead contractors to identify if the right materials are being used for the right application, thereby ensuring the integrity of your structure.
Smith-Emery has gained expertise in providing testing services in its Construction Materials Lab, and Soils, Asphalt, and Aggregate Lab. We are a trusted leader in these testing services and are constantly updating our methodologies to accommodate the newest materials on the market. Under the direction of Smith-Emery’s team of civil or metallurgical engineers, technicians test concrete, grout, mortar, cable, rebar, steel, and metal. And our full-service Caltrans and AASHTO accredited laboratory is staffed by engineering technicians and geotechnical professionals.
